Physiotherapy Strength And Conditioning classes:
The group rehabilitation classes we run here at Hobsons Bay are lead by physiotherapists trained in clinical pilates, who develop a rehabilitation program for you utilising a combination of pilates exercises, both with and without equipment, and traditional rehabilitation exercises to provide you the highest quality care in line with health care reforms and changes to the private health care system.
How do I integrate pilates into my rehabilitation?
Prior to attending a Clinical Rehabilitation class, you will first need to book a one-on-one Initial Assessment with a physiotherapist. During this session, you will complete a physical assessment and determine how these sessions will work towards your individual goals. Your physiotherapist will teach you the correct way of activating your core muscles and show you some basic exercises to get you started. Depending on your needs, experience level or injury, you may need to attend several one-on-one sessions before starting the group classes.
Clinical programming is a safe form of exercise during pregnancy, however we do recommend that you consult your GP or obstetrician before commencing exercise.
Groups are no bigger than 6-7 people, so bookings are essential.
Small groups allow for a safe exercise environment and ensure the physiotherapist can modify exercises as appropriate to you.
We also offer one-on-one sessions at selected times.
